A single act of kindness is like a drop of oil on a patch of dry skin—seeping, spreading, and affecting more than the original need.

I have a special place in my heart for animal shelters and rescues.
These organizations are instrumental in meeting medical and nutritional needs of surrendered, lost, or rescued animals. The ultimate goal of a good rescue or shelter is to find a forever home for animals in their charge. Unfortunately, many shelter dogs exhibit unwanted behaviors that interfere with their adoption prospects—often stemming from a lack in confidence or socialization. Recognizing a need for training, I have teamed up with the Spokane Humane Society and the Pawsitive Connection Academy was born! Dogs who are not yet available for adoption come to live at the Academy to work on skills they need to be successful in their new home. We dedicate time to train these pups so their true potential shines bright and they have the best possible chance for adoption. Even more importantly, this behavior training improves the likelihood of staying with a new family…forever! The Pawsitive Connection Academy would not be possible if not to for the generous donations for tuition made by people like you. Take a look at our success stories! If you would like to contribute to this life-changing work for shelter dogs, please go to the “DONATE” tab on the Spokane Humane Society website (www.spokanehumanesociety.org).
